The Chief Executive Officer of Akwaaba UK, Mr. Dennis, has revealed what he describes as his biggest regret as an event promoter and manager. Speaking in a recent interview on Konnected Minds, he admitted that not booking a bigger venue for a concert by Bisa Kdei in the United Kingdom remains his greatest disappointment.
According to Mr. Dennis, who has over the years worked with several top musicians including Sarkodie, Shatta Wale and Daddy Lumba, the demand from fans to see the highlife star was overwhelming.
He explained that the excitement surrounding the “Mansa,” “Asew,” “Brother Brother,” and “Mon Bébé” hitmaker exceeded expectations, leading to tickets selling out at an unusually fast rate.
Akwaaba UK further disclosed that throughout his years of organising international events, he had never witnessed tickets selling as quickly as they did for the concert by Bisa Kdei. Reflecting on the turnout, he believes the artiste could have easily filled the venue for two consecutive nights, rather than the single night that was scheduled.
Widely regarded as one of Africa’s leading highlife musicians, Bisa Kdei has built a strong international audience over the past decade. His music continues to resonate with fans across different countries, strengthening Ghana’s presence on the global music stage.
The musician is currently promoting his French single “Mon Bébé,” which has gained attention among francophone audiences and music lovers beyond Ghana.
