Mr. Jibril Mohammed, who heads the JBC Group of Companies and the JBC Charity Organization, emphasized the crucial role of supporting the deprived segments of our population. He made these remarks during the commissioning of the Al-Anood School and Clinic in Asuboi, Eastern Region of Ghana, over the past week.
Mr. Mohammed expressed his gratitude to the Qatar Ghana Charity Organization, a humanitarian and development NGO, and the donors who brought this significant initiative to Asuboi. He stated, “Your efforts will forever make a significant impact not only in our community but also in neighboring communities.”
He described the project as a gift to the community and urged residents to embrace and collaborate to ensure its success.
Nana Beema Boateng, Chief of Asuboi, welcomed the developmental project and encouraged parents to take full advantage of the new facilities, stating, “No parent should deny their child the benefits of this great initiative.” He also encouraged the JBC Charity and Qatar Charity to consult with him as needed, offering the community’s support for the project. “Don’t hesitate to consult us for any assistance. Our doors are always open for developmental projects,” he added.
Mrs. Josephine Awuku Ansaa Inkoom, District Chief Executive of Ayensuano, urged the community to support and maintain the charity project, highlighting the benefits it will bring. She thanked Qatar Charity for their contribution and expressed willingness to assist as the project progresses. “I would like to thank Qatar Charity Ghana and everyone in the community. Qatar Charity will periodically visit to explore ways to extend help to other communities,” she said.
Mrs. Ikram Ahmed, an advocate for women’s development and girl-child education, appealed to the Asuboi community to prioritize education. She reiterated the commitment of the JBC Charity Foundation to manage the facility, aiming to build strong relations with “the beautiful Arab country Qatar” for further benefits to disadvantaged communities in Africa.
Osmanu Nuhu Sharubutu, the National Chief Imam, who commissioned part of the project, praised all stakeholders involved in making the project a success. The Al-Anood School and Clinic is a humanitarian and development initiative by the Qatar Ghana Charity Organization and includes facilities such as a library, mosque, canteen, and health services.
The commissioning event brought together dignitaries, including the National Chief Imam, donors, chiefs, MCE, MPs, medical officials, and parents.
Mr. Jibril Mohammed, a leading philanthropist known for supporting disadvantaged communities, was honored with the JBC 1 Limited COVID-19 Awareness portrait by the Bridgewater Project for his organization’s efforts against COVID-19. He will manage the facility in recognition of his commitment to humanity. He praised Qatar for their ongoing support for development projects in Africa, stating, “May Allah bless the country for their humanitarian programs benefiting the needy in Africa.”
