Nana Kwame Bediako, popularly known as Cheddar and the Leader of the New Force Movement, has unveiled an ambitious plan to create 8 million jobs over the next 10 years. This initiative aims to tackle unemployment and boost economic growth nationwide.
Cheddar’s strategy focuses on key sectors such as industry, mineral resources, and agriculture. By investing heavily in these areas, the plan seeks to generate a wide range of job opportunities catering to various skill levels and educational backgrounds.
At the launch of the New Force Movement’s “12 Pillars for Economic Revolution” in Accra on Sunday, Cheddar stated, “We will start by investing in all 16 regions, setting up industrial plants to refine minerals and processing plants for agro-products.”
He further highlighted, “Our research shows that the combined potential of our natural resources—gold, iron ore, gas, bauxite, lithium, and diamond—along with agro-processing and arable lands, amounts to $2.5 trillion. We are determined to unlock every region’s wealth, aiming for an economic output of $4.7 trillion. We will also create 8 million jobs in a decade.”
