The Government of Eswatini has called on Christian churches across the country to temporarily suspend their activities and join a national Good Friday prayer gathering led by King Mswati III and members of the royal family.
The appeal was made by the spokesperson for the Ministry of Home Affairs, Mlandvo Dlamini, who indicated that authorities expect churches to support the initiative by closing their doors during the period and participating in the royal prayer event.
