Ghanaian gospel sensation Kofi Owusu Peprah has confirmed that all is set for his upcoming live worship concert scheduled for Sunday, 17th August 2025, at the Cedar Mountain Chapel, Assemblies of God, located in Shiashie, East Legon, Accra.
In an exclusive interview with Africa Live News, the inspirational musician revealed that the highly anticipated event will be a night of powerful worship, praise and spiritual connection for all attendees. The concert is free and open to the public.
“This is not just a concert, it is a moment of worship and transformation. We are inviting everyone — regardless of background — to come and experience the presence of God. It’s absolutely free because we want as many people as possible to be blessed,” Peprah stated.
The event, titled Kofi Owusu Peprah Live, is expected to draw hundreds of worshippers from across the city and beyond. The evening will feature an impressive lineup of gospel music heavyweights, including the legendary Cindy Thompson, the award-winning Harmonious Chorale, and international gospel artist Luigi Maclean.
The Cedar Mountain Chapel venue, known for hosting some of the most impactful gospel events in the capital, is expected to provide the perfect atmosphere for a night of heartfelt worship.
Kofi Owusu Peprah, son of the late gospel icon Rev. George Owusu Mensah (popularly known as ROMS), has built a name for himself through deeply spiritual songs and consistent live ministrations. With hits such as Yesu Nyame Ba and Big God, he has become a household name in the Ghanaian gospel scene.
“This concert is a declaration of the greatness of God,” he explained. “We have prayed, rehearsed, and prepared spiritually and musically. My team and I are ready to pour our hearts out on that altar.”
According to Peprah, attendees can expect a live musical experience that blends contemporary gospel with the powerful sounds of traditional worship. He noted that the event will not only showcase music but will also be an opportunity for testimonies, impartation, and fellowship.
“I strongly believe that this is an appointment with God. Every person who walks through those church doors will leave refreshed, renewed, and spiritually uplifted,” he said.
Speaking about the special guests, Peprah praised each of the artists on the bill, calling them “anointed vessels” chosen specifically for this assignment. “Cindy Thompson’s ministry has changed lives for decades, and Harmonious Chorale always brings excellence and glory to God. Luigi Maclean also carries a strong grace, and I am honored to have them all on the same platform,” he noted.
The event is being organized with the support of the Cedar Mountain Chapel leadership, and Peprah expressed deep gratitude to the church for their collaboration and spiritual covering. He also thanked his fans, prayer partners, and his team for their tireless efforts behind the scenes.
“This is a community effort,” he said. “I may be the one on stage, but there are so many people making this happen through prayer, logistics, and support. I don’t take any of it for granted.”
As the day approaches, the buzz around the concert continues to grow, with many gospel music lovers expressing excitement online and offline. Social media has been buzzing with promotional posters and rehearsal clips, signaling what many are already calling one of the most anticipated worship nights of the year.
For Kofi Owusu Peprah, however, the focus remains on giving glory to God and drawing souls closer to Christ. “Music is a tool, but it is the spirit that changes lives. I am just a vessel. All I want is for people to encounter God on that night.”
The free entry concert is expected to start at 5:00 p.m., with doors opening by 4:00 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to secure seating.
As final preparations wrap up, Peprah remains calm but expectant. “I feel peace,” he said. “God is ready. We are ready. Now we wait for His people.”
Kofi Owusu Peprah Live, taking place on 17th August 2025, promises to be more than a concert — it will be a night of divine encounters, live music, and lasting impact.
