The Ministry of Education has announced the release of the 2024/25 placement results for Senior High Schools (SHS) and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions. According to the ministry, this placement process follows the receipt of 563,339 candidate results from the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), with a total of 553,155 candidates deemed qualified for placement.
The ministry’s statement highlights that 447,698 of these qualified candidates—representing 80.93%—were successfully placed in one of their chosen schools. However, 104,918 qualified candidates could not be matched to any of their selected schools. For these students, the Ministry of Education encourages them to use the Self-Placement platform, where they can select a school of their choice based on availability.
Qualified students seeking their placement results should visit the official CSSPS website at https://www.cssps.gov.gh or https://www.cssps.org. By entering their ten-digit index number followed by the year of completion (for example, 123456789024 for those who completed in 2024) and clicking “Submit,” students can view their placement outcome.
To address any issues or questions regarding placement, the public can access support at the National Solution Centre located at the GNAT Hall, Adabraka, Accra, or visit any of the 16 Regional Solution Centres. Additionally, the ministry has provided a helpline—0308258001—for further assistance.
