Newly Released Epstein Emails Show Prince Andrew Pleading “I Can’t Take Any More of This”

Newly unsealed emails from the estate of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein have shed fresh light on Prince Andrew’s involvement with Epstein and his close associate Ghislaine Maxwell, revealing the Duke of York’s apparent distress when scandalous allegations first surfaced over a decade ago.

The documents, made public on Wednesday, include a March 2011 email in which Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor wrote to Epstein and Maxwell:

“What’s all this? I don’t know anything about this! You must SAY so please. This has NOTHING to do with me. I can’t take any more of this.”

The correspondence occurred after the Mail on Sunday sent Maxwell a “right of reply” email outlining claims it intended to publish about Andrew’s ties to Epstein. The message was subsequently forwarded to Epstein and a redacted address labeled “The Duke.”

The cache of emails, part of legal documents from Epstein’s estate, reveals interactions involving high-profile figures including Donald Trump, former British ministers, and other influential personalities.

The release comes amid ongoing scrutiny of Andrew by the U.S. House Oversight Committee, which has requested his testimony as part of an investigation into Epstein’s network. Committee member Congressman Suhas Subramanyam told BBC Two’s Newsnight that Andrew has not yet responded but can testify remotely, saying, “He doesn’t have to get on a plane to testify.”

Allegations and Settlement

Prince Andrew has long faced allegations from Virginia Giuffre, who claimed she was trafficked by Epstein and coerced into sexual encounters with the Duke while she was a minor. Andrew has consistently denied the accusations. In 2022, he reached an out-of-court settlement with Giuffre, which included no admission of guilt or apology.

Earlier this month, the Duke of York was stripped of his remaining royal titles following the posthumous release of Giuffre’s memoir, which reignited public focus on his association with Epstein and Maxwell.

Links to Donald Trump and Other Figures

Among the newly unsealed emails are references to Donald Trump. In one 2011 message, Epstein wrote to Maxwell:

“I want you to realise that the dog that hasn’t barked is Trump. [VICTIM] spent hours at my house with him.”

The alleged victim’s name was redacted. According to the White House, the individual referenced was Giuffre, who passed away earlier this year. Officials emphasized that Giuffre had repeatedly stated Trump “was not involved in any wrongdoing whatsoever and ‘couldn’t have been friendlier’ to her in their limited interactions,” assertions she also made in a 2016 deposition and her memoir.

Following the Democrat-led release of the emails, Republican members of Congress published additional Epstein-related files, claiming Democrats had “cherry-picked” documents in a “politically motivated attempt to slander President Trump.”

Meanwhile, newly sworn-in Democratic congresswoman Adelita Grijalva signed a petition urging the U.S. Department of Justice to release all remaining Epstein records, securing enough backing to trigger a House vote confirmed by Speaker Mike Johnson for next week.

Photographs and Media Coverage

The files also appear to validate the infamous photograph showing Andrew with his arm around a 17-year-old Giuffre. In a July 2011 email to a journalist, Epstein wrote:

“Yes, she was on my plane, and yes, she had her picture taken with Andrew, as many of my employees have.”

Andrew has repeatedly denied recalling the photo being taken, suggesting it may have been fabricated.

This exchange followed a March 2011 “right of reply” email from the Mail on Sunday, which alleged that Giuffre had been introduced to Andrew by Epstein at Maxwell’s London home in 2001 and later directed to have sex with him. The newspaper’s article, published March 6, 2011, also described claims that Andrew groped girls at Epstein’s New York residence and attended orgies at Epstein’s private island, Little St. James.

After the article’s publication, Epstein emailed Andrew:

“You ok? These stories are complete and utter fantasy.”

A July 2011 message to Andrew’s publicist added:

“The girl who accused Prince Andrew can easily be proven to be a liar. Buckingham Palace would love it. You should investigate Virginia Roberts, she’s caused the Queen’s son all this agro (sic). I promise you she is a fraud.”

Other High-Profile Connections

The emails also reveal that Lord Peter Mandelson maintained contact with Epstein as late as 2016, years after Epstein’s conviction for child sex offences. In one message dated November 6, 2016, Epstein wrote to Mandelson:

“63 years old. You made it.”

Mandelson replied:

“Just. I have decided to extend my life by spending more of it in the US.”

Epstein responded:

“In the Donald White House,” referencing the upcoming U.S. presidential election.

Mandelson, who was dismissed as Britain’s ambassador to Washington in September 2016, declined to comment on the newly released emails.

The documents provide further insight into the extensive network surrounding Epstein, reinforcing longstanding questions about the involvement of elites and high-profile figures in his activities.
