Ruach Elohim Ministries International (REMI) has expressed heartfelt gratitude to Ghanaians, the Obojo community, and revered ministers of God for joining in the church’s first-anniversary celebration on Sunday, September 8, 2024. The church attributes its success to divine guidance and the support of its congregation.
Founded by Rev. Dr. Ismaila Hans Awudu, REMI began with just four members—the visionary pastor, his wife, driver, and houseboy—meeting in their hall at Obojo, near Bright School Complex. Within a year, the congregation has grown to over 100 members.
Reflecting on the origins of REMI, Rev. Dr. Ismaila shared that the church was born from divine inspiration. Initially, the fellowship expanded from the hall to the veranda, and eventually, through prayer and guidance from the Holy Spirit, worship services were moved to the car park, where the church still holds its meetings.
In his address, Rev. Dr. Ismaila spoke of the challenges and victories of the past year, affirming that trust in the Lord brings triumph in difficult times.
The anniversary celebration, themed “Rehoboth,” featured a powerful message from Apostle Dr. Raymond K. Akam, General Overseer of the Conference of Baptist International Church. He encouraged Christians to follow the “Isaac principle,” explaining how Isaac peacefully moved on when faced with opposition over the wells he had dug. Apostle Dr. Akam urged the congregation to remain calm and seek divine direction when confronted with challenges in life, be it in family, business, or work.
Hon. Abu Ramadan, Member of Parliament for Adentan Constituency, also attended the anniversary and requested prayers to help break the one-term MP mandate in his constituency.
The event was graced by prominent ministers, including Apostle Abraham Lamptey, Rev. Dr. Francis Sey, Prophet S.O. Amankwaa, and Apostle Dr. Raymond K. Akam, who brought blessings and inspiration to the congregation.
The week-long anniversary celebration began on September 3 and culminated on Sunday, September 8, with joy, thanksgiving, and a renewed commitment to the vision of complementing the work of other churches in Ghana for God’s end-time mission. REMI expressed its appreciation to all who contributed to making the milestone a success.
