Samira Bawumia, the wife of the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has expressed confidence in her husband’s ability to lead the country. Speaking during her one-week tour of the Ashanti Region, particularly in Zongo communities within the Afigya Kwabre South District, she likened her husband to a “driver’s mate” who has diligently learned from his master and is now ready to take the wheel.
Samira emphasized that Dr. Bawumia’s experience as vice president has equipped him with the knowledge and expertise necessary to continue the progress initiated by President Nana Akufo-Addo. She believes that Dr. Bawumia is well-positioned to lead Ghana towards even greater achievements.
“Bawumia and the NPP have great plans for Ghana. Bawumia will continue and improve upon all the significant initiatives of President Akufo-Addo, so please hand him the steering wheel as the driver on December 7,” she said, addressing a crowd at Kodie.
Highlighting Dr. Bawumia’s contributions as vice president, Samira pointed out that his accomplishments set him apart from those who have previously held the position. She stated that Dr. Bawumia has excelled in several areas, particularly in implementing digital solutions that have had a transformative impact on the country.
“We have had several vice presidents in the country, but Bawumia has outperformed them all, particularly with his digital solutions,” she remarked.
Samira’s message resonated with the audience as she urged them to consider Dr. Bawumia’s track record and give him the opportunity to lead the country as president. She noted that his background, experience, and achievements make him the ideal candidate to drive the nation forward.
As Samira continues her tour of the region, she remains focused on engaging with communities, particularly in Zongo areas, to share the NPP’s vision for the future and gather support for her husband’s candidacy.
