Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti praised Vinicius Junior after the Brazilian forward gave teammate Kylian Mbappe a penalty to take during their LaLiga match against Real Betis on Sunday night.
Vinicius, who is Real Madrid’s primary penalty taker, was commended by Ancelotti for his selflessness. A brace from Mbappe secured all three points for Real Madrid at Santiago Bernabeu.
Speaking at the post-match press conference, Ancelotti highlighted the strong relationship between Vinicius, Mbappe, and Rodrygo. He noted, “Mbappe had a good game, like everyone else, and was very good in the box. Vini Jr. was very unselfish, and they all have a good relationship.”
Ancelotti added, “Scoring is important for Mbappe, but we assess the team’s work as a whole, which was better than in the last game.”
