The Former Eastern Regional Communications Director of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. David Prah, has praised Vice President and NPP Presidential Candidate, H.E. Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, for his visionary leadership and progressive policy initiatives aimed at transforming Ghana.
Mr. Prah commended Dr. Bawumia for introducing bold and aggressive policies that are significantly contributing to the country’s development, breathing new life into Ghanaian politics.
In his remarks, Mr. Prah contrasted the achievements of the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia administration with recent statements made by former President John Dramani Mahama. He criticized Mr. Mahama, the perennial flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), for what he described as “unguided statements and attacks” during a campaign event, where Mahama allegedly insulted chiefs, religious leaders, and traditional authorities in a viral video.
Highlighting the accomplishments of the current government, Mr. Prah noted that under Dr. Bawumia’s leadership, Ghana has seen the creation of over 2.1 million jobs in just seven years, the implementation of Free Senior High School (SHS) for 1.4 million students across all 16 regions, and Free TVET education. Other significant achievements include:
Restoration of Teacher and Nursing Trainee Allowances
Lowering the rate of cedi depreciation compared to Mahama’s administration
Doubling agricultural growth
Constructing more roads, interchanges, and railways than any government since independence
Expanding internet coverage and building more airports
Implementing Mobile Money Interoperability, making Ghana the first in Africa
Introducing a paperless system at the ports, drones for medical supply delivery, and the National Identification Card System
Building more AstroTurf sports fields and libraries than any other government
Launching innovative initiatives like the Nation Builders Corps (NABCO), One Teacher One Laptop, and One District One Factory, among others.
Mr. Prah also emphasized that Dr. Bawumia’s government has digitized key public services, including the passport office, and implemented the “No Guarantor” student loan scheme. He contrasted these achievements with the NDC flagbearer’s campaign, which he believes has been centered on insults rather than constructive policies.
In conclusion, Mr. Prah urged all well-meaning Ghanaians to vote massively for H.E. Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to ensure the continuation of these transformative policies and programs, and to introduce even more that will drive the nation towards unprecedented growth.
