Accra, Ghana – The 7th edition of the Africa Ports Forum is set to take place on May 20 and 21, 2026, at the Accra Marriott Hotel in Accra, bringing together key stakeholders within Africa’s ports, maritime, transport, and logistics sectors for two days of high-level discussions, networking, and business engagement.
Organized by One Africa Forums under the high patronage of Ghana’s Ministry of Transport and Tanger Med Group, the Africa Ports Forum has, since its launch in 2019, established itself as a leading pan-African platform dedicated to port development, maritime connectivity, and trade facilitation across the continent.
The 2026 edition is expected to attract port authorities, ministers, regulators, terminal operators, shipping lines, logistics providers, investors, development institutions, and technology companies from across Africa and beyond. Around 20 countries are expected to be represented in Accra.
At a time when African nations are accelerating regional integration and infrastructure modernization, the forum will address critical issues shaping the future of African ports and maritime trade. Discussions will focus on major themes including port infrastructure financing, smart ports, green and sustainable logistics, maritime connectivity, regional transport corridors, digital transformation, customs modernization, and public-private partnerships.
The event will also serve as a strategic platform for showcasing investment opportunities and strengthening collaboration between public and private stakeholders involved in transforming Africa’s transport and logistics landscape.
Through plenary sessions, panel discussions, technical presentations, and B2B meetings, participants will have the opportunity to exchange expertise, share experiences, and explore partnerships aimed at improving the competitiveness and resilience of African ports.
Speaking ahead of the event, the organizers emphasized the importance of stronger collaboration among African ports and logistics stakeholders in supporting intra-African trade and advancing the ambitions of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
“The Africa Ports Forum continues to position itself as a platform for dialogue and concrete cooperation between decision-makers and operators committed to the modernization and competitiveness of African ports,” the organizers stated.
Over the years, the Africa Ports Forum has brought together influential institutional and private sector actors from across the continent, contributing to the promotion of innovative solutions and strategic partnerships for the development of Africa’s port and logistics infrastructure.
The 2026 edition in Accra aims to build on this momentum by fostering meaningful exchanges and facilitating business opportunities among stakeholders driving the future of maritime trade in Africa.
