DORiSA Consult Announces 3rd Edition of Monthly Business Advocacy Forum

Theme: From Visibility to Sales – The Legal Way: Compliant Digital Positioning Strategies for SMEs in 2026

Accra, Ghana – DORiSA Consult, a Ghanaian firm specialising in consulting, advocacy and counselling, is set to host the third edition of its Monthly Business Advocacy Forum & Counselling Series on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. GMT via Microsoft Teams.

The forum will address one of the major challenges confronting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Ghana: how to convert online visibility into actual sales while complying with applicable laws and regulations.

As digital marketing becomes increasingly important for business growth, many entrepreneurs risk exposing their businesses to legal challenges through misleading advertisements, false representation, non-compliant online contracts, data protection violations, tax non-disclosure and the unauthorised use of trademarks and copyrighted content.

Under the theme, “From Visibility to Sales – The Legal Way: Compliant Digital Positioning Strategies for SMEs in 2026,” the forum will equip entrepreneurs, startups, SME owners and digital marketers with practical strategies for building credible online brands, increasing revenue and ensuring legal compliance.

The programme comes at a time when businesses face growing expectations from regulators, consumers and digital platforms to maintain transparency, protect customer information and operate within established legal frameworks.

The forum will be hosted by Dr. Doris Aryee, Founder and Lead Consultant of DORiSA Consult, a business advocate, counsellor and SME growth strategist committed to helping Ghanaian businesses build strong legal foundations for sustainable growth.

The event will feature distinguished legal practitioners and professionals who will share insights into business registration, commercial law, digital marketing compliance and corporate governance.

Guest speaker Mr. Eric Acheampong, Esq., is a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Ghana and The Gambia, an Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) practitioner and an expert in land law, commercial law and labour law. He is also a full-time lecturer at the Faculty of Law at KAAF University.

His presentation will examine the foundations of SMEs and their operations in Ghana, with particular attention to the different types of companies, registration requirements and compliance obligations. He will also discuss commercial contracts, consumer protection and dispute prevention for online businesses.

The keynote address will be delivered by Mrs. Adisa Walamani Acheampong, Esq., a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Ghana and The Gambia, policy and legal adviser, and a State Attorney with the Legal and Prosecution Unit at the Ghana Police Service Headquarters.

Her areas of expertise include criminal law, commercial law, ADR, family law and divorce practice, as well as oil and gas.

She will speak on SMEs, digitalisation, sales and the law, highlighting the regulatory framework governing businesses, legal risks associated with digital marketing and practical ways SMEs can position themselves credibly while remaining compliant with the law.

The main speaker, Aps. Dr. Dello-Ziem Kaaka, Esq., a lawyer, corporate governance practitioner and land and property consultant, will focus on corporate governance practices in small and medium-sized enterprises in Ghana.

His presentation will examine how sound governance structures can strengthen accountability, improve business operations and support the long-term sustainability of SMEs.

Commenting on the upcoming edition, Dr. Doris Aryee said the ability to attract online attention must be matched by the legal and operational structures required to earn customers’ trust and generate sustainable revenue.

“In 2026, being seen online is no longer enough. Many businesses are visible but not bankable because they lack the legal foundations that make customers trust them enough to pay. This forum is designed to show SMEs how to move from likes and views to legally-secured sales,” she said.

Participants are expected to gain practical knowledge on marketing online without violating advertising and consumer protection laws, drafting compliant terms and conditions, disclaimers and online contracts, protecting business brands and digital content, and safeguarding customer data.

The forum will also explore how SMEs can strengthen their credibility and improve their prospects of securing funding, partnerships and other business opportunities through legally compliant digital positioning.

Participation is free for SMEs, students and other interested participants, although seats are limited.

The virtual event will take place on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. GMT via Microsoft Teams. Interested participants can register or join through the meeting link provided by the organisers or scan the QR code on the event flyer.

The forum is proudly supported by EdallMedia Limited as its media partner.
