MOGA to Host Annual Purple Pride Dinner Dance

Accra, Ghana – November 17, 2025:
The Mfantsiman Old Girls’ Association (MOGA) is set to host its annual Purple Pride Dinner Dance on Saturday, 29th November 2025, at Functions Junction, Tse Addo. The event promises an evening of reflection, celebration, networking, and renewed commitment to supporting the legacy of Mfantsiman Girls’ Senior High School.

The Purple Pride Dinner Dance remains one of the association’s most anticipated gatherings, bringing together old girls from Accra and various chapters across the country. It offers members an opportunity to reconnect, celebrate achievements, and strengthen the bonds that tie the MOGA community together.

This year’s celebration will feature distinguished Ghanaian filmmaker, director, and entrepreneur Shirley Frimpong-Manso—herself an alumna of Mfantsiman Girls Senior High School—as the Guest Speaker. Renowned for her groundbreaking contributions to film and television, Shirley Frimpong-Manso continues to inspire women across Africa through her excellence, creativity, and leadership.

A major highlight of the evening will be the unveiling of the 66th Speech and Prize-Giving Day logo by MOGA 2001, the official host year group. Additionally, the event will include the presentation of Special Recognition Awards to exceptional old girls who have significantly contributed to the growth of the association and Mfantsiman Girls’ Senior High School.

Year groups and chapters that have successfully fulfilled their commitments toward the Library Project—a key initiative designed to enhance academic excellence—will also be honoured for their support and dedication.

According to Henrietta Opokua Amissah, National President of MOGA:

“The annual Purple Pride Dinner Dance is more than just a social event. It is a time to reflect on what we have accomplished together, reconnect, and look forward to new opportunities to serve our alma mater and community.”

She also encouraged members to register early and be part of an evening marked by elegance, celebration, and unity.
