Accra, September 28, 2026 – MTN Ghana Foundation is inviting Ghanaians to nominate unsung heroes whose selfless service is creating lasting change in their communities for Heroes of Change Season 8.
Nominations are open until 19 October 2026. The public is encouraged to nominate individuals whose work demonstrates clear and sustainable impact in Education, Health or Economic Empowerment. Nominations may be submitted through the MTN Ghana website at www.mtn.com.gh or delivered at any MTN Service Centre.
With the belief that ordinary people can drive extraordinary change, the initiative celebrates individuals transforming lives through commitment, compassion and service.
The overall winner will receive GHS400,000, while each of the three category winners will receive GHS200,000 to support and scale their initiatives. Nominators of the 10 finalists will also be rewarded, with special prizes presented for outstanding contributions in Sustainability and Digital Innovation.
Adwoa Wiafe, Chief Corporate Services and Sustainability Officer of MTN Ghana, said Heroes of Change was established to recognise individuals whose quiet acts of service are transforming lives.
“Heroes of Change celebrates people who serve their communities without seeking recognition or reward. Through Season 8, we want to identify and support more of these remarkable individuals whose work is creating sustainable impact and inspiring others,” she said.
She added that this year’s initiative aligns with MTN Ghana’s 30th anniversary and its “Force for Good” philosophy, which harnesses the company’s resources, partnerships and platforms to create meaningful impact and contribute to national development.
Over the years, Heroes of Change has provided recognition, visibility and financial support to Ghanaians addressing pressing social challenges, enabling them to deepen and expand their impact.
