Sam Creatives CEO Calls for Better Celebrity Styling at Future TGMA Events

The Chief Executive Officer of Sam Creatives has appealed to organizers of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards to consider working with professional fashion designers and stylists to help musicians prepare for future editions of the awards ceremony.

According to him, although this year’s event delivered memorable performances and exciting moments, the dressing of some celebrities on the red carpet became a major topic of discussion online.

Speaking in reaction to conversations that followed the awards night, the Sam Creatives boss stated that appearance plays an important role in modern entertainment and should not be overlooked during high-profile events like the TGMA.

He explained that musicians are constantly in the spotlight and their fashion choices often shape public perception about the industry.

“Some artistes really looked outstanding on the red carpet, but others also attracted criticism because their outfits did not meet expectations. Ghana has many talented fashion designers and stylists who can help project our musicians better,” he said.

Following the event, reactions flooded X, Facebook and Instagram, with many entertainment followers sharing mixed opinions about the outfits worn by some celebrities.

While some social media users praised a few stars for their elegance and creativity, others described certain looks as disappointing and uncoordinated for an event of such magnitude.

A number of entertainment fans also suggested that celebrities should work more closely with fashion professionals before attending major award ceremonies.

The CEO further noted that introducing a styling support system for artistes could help improve the overall image of the awards while also creating opportunities for Ghanaian fashion designers to showcase their creativity on a bigger stage.

He added that proper styling would help keep public attention focused on the celebration of music, talent and achievement rather than negative fashion conversations after the event.

This year’s Telecel Ghana Music Awards brought together top musicians, actors, influencers and entertainment personalities from across the country, with several moments from the night still generating conversations online days after the ceremony.
