Afrikicks To Honour Ghanaian Philanthropist Salamu Amadu At 5th Annual Fundraiser In Beverly Hills

Ghanaian entrepreneur and philanthropist Ambassador Alhaji Salamu Amadu is set to receive international recognition from Los Angeles-based charity organisation Afrikicks at its 5th Annual Fundraiser, scheduled for November 11, 2026, in Beverly Hills, California.

The President and Founder of the Afro-Arab Group of Companies will be honoured for his philanthropic contributions, commitment to youth empowerment and continued support for initiatives aimed at improving the lives of young people across Africa.

The prestigious event will take place at Gravitas Beverly Hills from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm, bringing together individuals and partners associated with Afrikicks’ humanitarian activities and its efforts to support underserved communities.

Ambassador Alhaji Salamu Amadu, who also serves as the West African Ambassador for Afrikicks, has been recognised for his involvement in initiatives that promote social development, community support and opportunities for young people.

His selection as an honouree places a spotlight on the growing contribution of African entrepreneurs and philanthropists who are using their influence and resources to support causes beyond their immediate business interests.

Speaking in an interview, Afrikicks Founder, Oumarou Idrissa, commended Ambassador Salamu Amadu for his selfless leadership and commitment to supporting young people across the African continent.

Idrissa acknowledged the Ghanaian businessman’s contributions and dedication to the organisation’s mission, describing his support for youth development as an important part of the work being undertaken to create opportunities for the next generation.

The recognition also highlights the relationship between Afrikicks and Ambassador Alhaji Salamu Amadu, whose role as the organisation’s West African Ambassador reflects his involvement in its broader mission of promoting humanitarian support and youth development.

For Ambassador Alhaji Salamu Amadu, the honour comes against the backdrop of his involvement in several philanthropic and community-focused initiatives in Ghana.

Through the Afro-Arab Group of Companies and its associated charitable activities, he has supported programmes aimed at addressing some of the social and economic challenges confronting vulnerable communities.

One of the initiatives associated with his philanthropic work is the 1Child-1 NHIS Card project, undertaken in collaboration with the Bismillah Charity Foundation. The initiative seeks to support children from less privileged backgrounds by helping them access healthcare through the National Health Insurance Scheme.

His charitable activities have also included donations of educational materials to schools and support for communities affected by the Akosombo Dam spillage, demonstrating an interest in education, social welfare and humanitarian assistance.

Beyond philanthropy, Ambassador Alhaji Salamu Amadu has continued to pursue business initiatives through the Afro-Arab Group, which has interests in real estate, construction and other sectors.

Through Afro-Arab Properties, the group has promoted housing opportunities with flexible payment arrangements, including interest-free payment plans designed to make homeownership more accessible to individuals and families.

The group’s activities have also extended into other areas of economic empowerment, reflecting a business approach that combines commercial development with initiatives intended to create opportunities for ordinary Ghanaians.

His involvement in youth-focused activities has been particularly significant, with his public engagements often centred on encouraging young people to pursue entrepreneurship, acquire skills and take advantage of opportunities that can improve their economic circumstances.

Afrikicks, through its annual fundraising event, provides a platform to recognise individuals and organisations whose contributions support its humanitarian objectives. The annual gathering also draws attention to the importance of partnerships in addressing social challenges and improving the welfare of vulnerable populations.

The 2026 edition, being the organisation’s fifth annual fundraiser, will provide another opportunity to celebrate individuals whose work and commitment have contributed to its mission.

Ambassador Alhaji Salamu Amadu’s recognition is also significant for Ghana, as it brings international attention to the philanthropic activities of a Ghanaian entrepreneur whose work has extended into community development and youth empowerment.

At a time when unemployment, limited economic opportunities and access to essential social services remain important concerns for many young Africans, initiatives driven by individuals, businesses and charitable organisations continue to play a role in supporting communities.

While government policies and institutional interventions remain central to addressing these challenges, private-sector participation and philanthropic partnerships can complement broader development efforts.

For many young people, access to education, healthcare, mentorship and opportunities to develop their potential can make a meaningful difference in shaping their future.

The upcoming Afrikicks fundraiser will therefore serve not only as an occasion to honour Ambassador Salamu Amadu but also as an opportunity to highlight the importance of sustained commitment to humanitarian causes.

As preparations continue towards the November 11 gathering in Beverly Hills, the recognition is expected to further strengthen the relationship between Afrikicks and its West African Ambassador while drawing attention to the role of philanthropy in advancing youth development across the continent.

The event will run from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm at Gravitas Beverly Hills, where Ambassador Alhaji Salamu Amadu will be celebrated as one of the distinguished honourees of Afrikicks’ 5th Annual Fundraiser 2026.
