UOSA 2006 Batch Celebrates 20th Anniversary, Donates 30 Desks to School

Members of the UOSA 2006 Batch have marked their 20th Anniversary celebration with a reunion and donation exercise aimed at supporting their alma mater and strengthening the bond among old students.

The event brought together alumni, school authorities, teachers, students, and invited guests to reflect on their journey over the past two decades and discuss ways of contributing towards the development of the school.

Activities began with the arrival of members and guests at Poly Junction, where old students interacted and reconnected with one another before proceeding with the day’s activities.

A short prayer and praise session was later held as members thanked God for protection, guidance, and the opportunity to reunite after several years.

The gathering then moved to the school premises where the main anniversary celebration took place.

At the school, a general assembly was organized to officially welcome the alumni back to campus. During the assembly, the Head of School and representatives of the UOSA 2006 Batch addressed students and guests on the significance of the occasion.

Speaking on behalf of the batch, one representative said the celebration was not only about meeting old classmates again, but also about remembering the institution that contributed to shaping their future.

“We felt it was important to come back and also support the school in our own small way. This institution played a major role in our lives and we believe giving back is necessary,” he said.

The Head of School expressed appreciation to the group for their support and commitment towards the growth of the institution.

According to him, the contribution by the alumni would help improve teaching and learning conditions in the school.

A major highlight of the event was the presentation of 30 modern desks donated by the UOSA 2006 Batch to the school.

The alumni explained that the donation formed part of efforts to support students and improve the learning environment.

Members of the batch also indicated that they hope to undertake more projects in the future to support the school’s development.

The celebration further featured a teachers’ recognition session where the Headmaster, some teachers, and the school driver were honored for their years of dedication and service.

Some members of the alumni used the opportunity to appreciate teachers who impacted their lives positively during their time in school.

“Our teachers contributed a lot to who we are today. Some of the discipline and values we still carry came from them, so it was important for us to appreciate their efforts,” another member stated.

As part of the activities, members took a walk around the school compound to revisit places that held memories from their student days and also observe the current condition of facilities in the school.

The exercise also gave alumni the chance to interact with students and discuss possible ways of supporting future improvement projects.

The event ended with closing remarks and group photographs to mark the occasion.

The UOSA 2006 Batch further appealed to all old students of the institution to unite and support efforts aimed at improving infrastructure and restoring the school to a better standard.

According to the group, collective support from alumni will go a long way in helping the school regain its former image and provide a better environment for students.
